“Kruty. Hostomel Frontier" is a documentary project about courageous young Ukrainian heroes. In February 2022, a cadet rifle battalion stopped a column of Russian tanks on the outskirts of Kyiv. The battalion consisted of eighteen-year-old boys, led by a general. For almost a month they resisted the enemy's attempts to find weak points in the defense. The cadets became officers in battle. The young warriors did not lose a single position, although some of them were wounded and killed. The cadets repeated the feat of their peers — the defenders of Kruty, who delayed the Bolshevik attack on the Ukrainian capital in February 1918.
