“The Last Battle” is a documentary project about those who, despite the pain of losses, fatigue and constant risk, do not stop searching for the bodies of defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine. TSN journalist Alla Khotsyanivska went to eastern Ukraine to tell what it takes to find and return home the bodies of heroes. This is a story about all the stages of the search, identification of the dead and the history of relatives who live for months in anticipation and with the hope of burying each warrior. Professional search teams, sappers, volunteers, pathologists, forensic experts, dog handlers with their service dogs perform extremely difficult and very necessary work every day.
