“Alla Samoilenko. Women Guardians at War” is a documentary film. Alla Samoilenko is proud of her eldest son Illia and talks about him. Illia Samoilenko (call sign Gandalf) is an intelligence officer of the Azov regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine. He began his military service in 2015, when he was 21 years old. In fierce battles, he lost his left arm and right eye. Together with his soldiers, he defended the city of Mariupol and the Azovstal plant. Illia was captured and spent 120 days in solitary confinement in a Russian prison.
