“We Will Rebuild. The Local History Museum. Ivankiv” is a special report. On February 25, 2022, in the town of Ivankiv, Kyiv region, as a result of battles with Russian troops, the local history museum caught fire. It contained 14 original paintings by the famous Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko. This Ukrainian woman, who painted in the genre of “naive art,” is known all over the world. The room where the artist’s works were stored was hit by four Russian missiles. Old icons, ancient Cossack weapons, and towels from the famous weaver Anna Veres were burned. However, local residents saved Maria Prymachenko’s paintings from the fire.
