“We Will Rebuild. Lukyanivka. The Church” is a special report. Architectural masterpieces in Ukraine are suffering from the consequences of the Russian invasion. On March 25, 2022, Russian barbarians destroyed a unique wooden temple of the 19th century in the village of Lukyanivka, Kyiv region. The Church of the Ascension of the Lord had a late Classicism iconostasis and a large Baroque Deesis icon — a masterpiece of the first half of the 18th century. The aggressor was not stopped by the fact that this church belonged to the Moscow Patriarchate.
