“We Will Rebuild. The Gagarin Stadium. Chernigiv” is a special report. The Gagarin Stadium in Chernigiv was bombed by Russian aircraft on the night of March 11, 2022. It was one of the best stadiums in Ukraine, the main sports ground in the Chernihiv region. Before the full-scale armed attack by Russia, not only football, but also competitions in weightlifting, boxing and other sports were held here. About a hundred citizens dismantled the rubble of the bombed stadium with their own hands. Residents of Chernigiv believe that after Ukraine’s victory there will be sports life at the stadium again.
