“The Adventures of Vanya the Invader” (episode 1) is a documentary project about the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russian troops into the territory of Ukraine. The basis of the film is taken from telephone conversations of Russian soldiers, as well as a diary found on the territory of a local school in the village of Katyuzhanka, Kyiv region. The Russian soldier openly writes about how and why he was sent to Ukraine, tries to understand the purpose of the war, and openly talks about the interrogations of civilians in the dungeon.
