“Disasters and miracles in Ukraine: the shocking mystery of the floods” is the fourth episode of Dmytro Komarov’s project “The World Inside Out. Ukraine". 2023 broke ten temperature records and became the warmest year on record. In the spring of 2023, one of the largest floods occurred in Ukraine. Rivers overflowed their banks and flooded 8 regions. In the flooded villages, the water rose by one and a half meters: freeways became routes for boats, basements turned into wells, instead of vegetable gardens there were lakes with fish. Dmytro Komarov and his team visited the Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions and learned how people cope with flooding.
