“The terrible consequences of the Kakhovka dam explosion” is the first episode of Dmytro Komarov’s project “The World Inside Out. Ukraine." On June 6, 2023, the Russian army carried out a terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in Ukraine, causing one of the largest man-made disasters in Europe in recent decades. Dmytro Komarov and his cameraman came to Kherson to find out how rescuers work in the city; how people live in flooded villages; what artifacts were preserved at the bottom of the Dnipro River. The program was filmed under fire from the Russian troops.
