Ukrainian Palaces. Golden Age. Palace in Antoniny

“Palace in Antoniny" is a documentary film from the series "Ukrainian Palaces. Golden Age". The neo-Baroque palace in the village of Antoniny in the Khmelnitsky region was built from the late 18th to the early 20th century. The last owner was one of the richest magnates of the time, Józef Potocki (1862-1922). He owned sugar factories, a power plant, one of the largest libraries, his own airfield, a collection of luxury cars, a zoo of exotic animals and a stable with 200 purebred Arabian horses. Nobles from all over Europe came to his estate to hunt. Unfortunately, in 1919 the Bolsheviks burned the palace along with the library. Presenter Akim Halimov will talk about the history of the beautiful palace and its famous owner.
