"Palace in Zhovkva" is a documentary film from the series "Ukrainian Palaces. Golden Age". The city of Zhovkva in the Lviv region is an ideal royal fortress city in which all medieval buildings are subject to the laws of mathematics, aesthetics and symmetry. The local castle and palace are architectural monuments of the Renaissance. The castle was built on the order of the outstanding Polish statesman and commander Stanisław Zolkiewski (1547-1620). At the end of the 17th century, the castle was the favorite residence of the Polish king Jan III Sobieski (1629-1696), the great-grandson of Stanisław Zolkiewski. Host Akim Halimov will tell about the period of the greatest prosperity of the palace in Zhovkva.
